Why I suggest Horreum Red Cannonau di Sardegna DOC
Cannonau or, more rarely, the colour is ivory. Grapes classic native of the region of Sardinia. It is cultivated mainly in the most eastern part of the island for the production of the Cannonau of Sardinia. From the single, with outstanding characteristics such as a red color very full and rather dry to the taste. The story also tells of the “Horreum” as a place at the pond of Marceddì, the ancient Romans used to load foodstuffs destined for Rome.
The Sommelier: Wine produced from the grapes, the colour is ivory the Sardinian 100%, deep red color, alcohol content 14,00 %vol. Rich wine, fruit, a variety of aromatic differentiated, out of the box. Taste dry, robust, great body, good tannins, not scratchy, dry and very persistent final.
Food pairings: Excellent for dishes with rich flavours, the truffle, the meat rolls. The "Orecchiette" from Puglia with lamb sauce, great for marinating meat, rabbit cacciatore, a duck on the spit.
Uncork and decant before serving at a temperature of 18°C in the chalice Ballon.
The wine cellar: Wines of great pleasure, thanks to their balance and their structure, which is never aggressive.
