Why the Winemaker Recommends Romito Anno I°
Because it is a single-varietal Chardonnay that tells the most authentic identity of Tenuta Romito, the beating heart of the Colli Piacentini within the heritage of Castello di Luzzano. The name "Anno I°" is no whim: it indicates a wine designed to be enjoyed young, right away, to fully capture its freshness and aromatic immediacy. The hand-harvested grapes are softly pressed, and the must ferments at a controlled temperature (18-19°C). After rack-off and cooling to 8°C, the wine is bottled in the spring following the harvest, after natural re-fermentation in an autoclave, which bestows its delightful liveliness.
Characteristics of Sparkling Chardonnay White Wine
It presents a bright straw-yellow color of medium intensity. On the nose, it is delicate and characteristic, with well-distinguishable citrus notes. On the palate, it is fresh, smooth, and balanced, featuring a pleasant, non-intrusive effervescence that makes it extremely easy to drink.
