The Poggio al Tufo winery in Pitigliano joins the Tommasi Family Wine Group, an interesting and well-made wine. Blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, passage in wood. Interesting wine with fine aromas and a balanced palate. The acidity gives good prospects for the future. However, it remains below its potential due to a slightly too dominant note of cabernet sauvignon over sangiovese which gives the wine excessive softness and makes it appear slightly flat on the palate.

The Rompicollo Rosso Toscana presents itself in the glass with an intense red, on the nose red fruits, raspberry, blackberry and blueberry. Balanced mouth, alcohol under control, soft and pleasant like a merlot, soft and persistent integrated tannin. A balsamic finish and light spiciness emerge with food.

Rompicollo Rosso Poggio al Tufo Tommasi is ideal for the preparation of braised meats; or accompany the baked lamb, chicken with pesto. It would be excellent with spaghetti with chilli; various breads and cheeses.
