The winemaker recommends Syrah 4.7.7. IGT 2014 Alberto Longo
Alberto Longo, Daunia's reference winery, already produced the 4.7.7 (date of birth of his son) in 2008. Pure Syrah still replicates excellence, demonstrating a frankly unexpected longevity. 12 months of aging in French oak barriques.
Characteristics of Syrah wine 4.7.7.
Puglia red wine, inviting nose full of jam, hints of autumn foliage, woody smoke and tobacco. Full-bodied and soft with a fresh finish.
Recommended pairings with Syrah wine:
On 4.7.7. Syrah Puglia IGP Alberto Longo excellent with orecchiette and turnip greens; troccoli with cuttlefish sauce; cured meats with marked aromas.
Uncorking Syrah 4.7.7. Alberto Longo 2014 and decant before serving at a temperature of 16 - 18°C, in a large Ballon goblet.
Alberto Longo:
The efficiency in producing and the elegance in welcoming make Alberto L. a goal, that is to produce quality wines. The cellar is surrounded by vineyards with vines of Bombino Bianco, Falanghina, Montepulciano and Nero di Troia from the Cavalli farm, the only varietal for the production of the famous Cacc 'e Mmitte Lucera DOC wine. A mixed structure, historic rooms from the 19th century and a modern part. The feasibility studies have determined the appropriate use of the premises where the technological systems are located that allow the management of each stage of production up to refinement. The total area cultivated with vineyards is approximately sixty-four hectares, divided into parcels between the Fattoria Cavalli and Masseria Celentano farms. In the latter, mixed varieties are planted in addition to Primitivo and Negramaro… Longo Wine
