Why I suggest Tazzelenghe Friuli Colli Orientali DOC 2013
Discovered this Tazzelenghe from the Black Eagle in Udine, a particular wine that I appreciated for its intense body and a perfume that reminds me of leather and black cherry. Tazzelenghe is a wine that is not easily accessible. This autochthonous Friulian rarity needs some time after opening the bottle to develop the deep aroma. So it offers great drinking pleasure.
Sommelier:
Elegant ruby color, with marked shades of purple, of good density during rotation in the glass. Great aromatic intensity on the nose. Good finesse. Aromas of black corn, well-ripened plum, blueberry, violet and peony, chinotto, black pepper, coffee, havanensis tobacco and cocoa. Complex and precise enough. The mouth is characterized by a structured body, accompanied by good density, richness and alcoholic warmth. An enveloping and rounded tannin stands out. Fresh, persistent and fine wine.
Suggested pairings:
Tazzelenghe Friuli Colli Orientali DOC 2013 La Viarte Beef, Pasta, Lamb, excellent for game (deer, chamois); bruschetta and Parma ham, hard and aged cheese.
Uncork Tazzelenghe Friuli Colli Orientali DOC 2013 La Viarte and decant 1 hour before serving at 18 ° C. in large Ballon glasses.
