Why I suggest Antrum Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC
Antrum is the synthesis of the wine making journey of the Ciavolich family. From the vineyards planted by Giuseppe Ciavolich in the 1960s to Loreto Aprutino, the production of grapes after being hand picked are pressed, the dripped must lies in stainless steel tanks for controlled temperature fermentation. Following this, the wine is left to age in barriques and tonneaux for 3 to 4 years so that the true nature of Montepulciano remains intact and is expanded, releasing a range of complex aromas
The Sommelier: Ruby-colored suit of good intensity. Nose that emanates dominant aromas of black fruits, spices and violet. Everything is also embellished with subtle toasting and undergrowth scents. Enjoy this red with a refreshing acidity and meaty tannins. It offers a flexible mouth that extends into a fairly constant finish.
Recommended pairings: Fresh pasta and tomato sauce; vegetable soups and lamb meat: grilled meat, dishes with intense flavors: podolico cheese, Sardinian pecorino, Apulian Taralli celery and black olives.
Uncork and decant before serving at a temperature of 16-18 ° C, in a large Ballon glass.
Wineries: succulent and golden clusters of Trebbiano, Cococciola, Pecorino, Chardonnay, Moscato, Passerina, and red grapes that have great resonance in the international wine world, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
