Why I suggest Barbera d'Alba DOC 2021 Il Cerreto
The wine tradition of Roberto Voerzio's wines brings us back to highlighting the classic and aristocratic Piedmontese Barbera, and to present itself at the top of its shape. For this reason Barbera d'Alba DOC Vigneti Cerreto wants to be among those to which time has given expression to be able to express itself with a high quality level. A wine of great complexity and intensity that immediately conquers the palate of enthusiasts, to whom they agree to have at least one box in their cellar.
Sommelier:
In the glass it appears ruby red and marked violet reflections in the nail. The consistency is very evident with arches that slowly descend into the alcohol-rich wine liquid perceived at levels of 13.50% vol. Enveloping fruit aromas, mixed with nuances and hints of spices. Fullness and impactful body, a perfectly balanced silky sip. Closes in the finish with remarkable persistence.
Suggested pairings:
Enchanting wine with polenta lamb chops and red radicchio from Treviso seared on a plate, handmade strascinati with turnip greens, cabbage soup and pork shank; excellent with dried fruit.
Uncork Barbera d'Alba DOC 2021 Il Cerreto and leave to air before serving at a temperature of 16-18 ° C. in medium Ballon glass.
