Why I suggest Montefalco Sagrantino
The last bottle of Lungarotti goes away on a November evening accompanied by a Venetian liver that leaves the armchair and the rain falls slowly. Perfect, full-bodied wine that struggles well without ever getting tired. I would say promoted by my taste.
The Sommelier: Garnet red with beautiful intensity, very dense. Intense and fine on the nose, complex, with the tertiaries highlighted, an elegant balsamic note with which liquorice, spices and a pleasant note of chocolate are constantly evolving. Warm and round, dry and slightly sapid and fresh and with vibrant tannins but already balanced despite the fact that we are talking about Sagrantino. A really nice combination of intensity and finesse crowned by an admirable persistence.
Suggested pairings: tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce; linguine with pesto; veal and grilled beef; cut of chianina.
Uncork and decant before serving at a recommended temperature of 16-18 ° C, in Ballon glasses.
Cellar: the excellence of Italian wine in the world. Recognized examples the "Rubesco" "Torre di Giano", "Vigna Monticchio" the "Vigna il Pino", "San Giorgio", all from the Lungarotti cellars ...
