Why I suggest Red Villa Piave DOC 2012

Merlot wine in purity, good drink, robust, moderately tannic. The old vines of 30 years old, planted in soils of flood damage, rich of organic substance. Bred guyot system, high quality guaranteed, we practice green harvesting and bunch thinning. The fermentation is completed in barrels and the refinement in the bottle.

The Sommelier: Vinified from sun-Merlot, a wine with a ruby red colour with ruby reflections. Clear wine, brilliant and consistente with 14,00 %vol. The scent is herbaceous, is the hallmark of this wine, and pleasant hints of marasca cherry, red fruit, coffee with aging. The ssteam dry, rightly tannic, well-balanced, soft in the mouth, medium persistent in the final.

Food pairings: Excellent on Polenta, Tortellini and meat sauce, Rabbit cacciatore, pork Loin in the oven, and on chicken livers and veal sweetbreads, Troccoli hand-made with lamb sauce, cheese and medium cheese.

Uncork and allow to aerate before serving at a temperature of 16 - 18 °C. in the cup Ballon.
