Why the winemaker recommends Frescobaldi Ripe al Convento Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva 2018
Frescobaldi Brunello Montalcino. The optimum of Sangiovese di Lamole, a reserve wine with great structure and longevity. Spectacular wine in all its facets, the most appropriate definition of which is “Aristocratic”. The king of Italian red wine, bright in color, elegant with an olfactory component, delicate on the palate with velvety tannins. Full-bodied and rich in dry extract, guarantor of superlative quality.
Characteristics of the Ripe wine at the Frescobaldi Convento
A Brunello of excellent exceptional longevity, characterized by a powerful structure, broad in the aromatic spectrum, very intense, balanced and suitable for long aging. An important wine, complex in its olfactory bouquet, penetrating in its balsamic trace which softens the sip. The Riserva Ripe al Convento CastelGiocondo on the nose is a riot of balsamic notes in constant evolution with successive essences of wood, black cherries, leather and cigar box. On the palate there are hints of plums, oak, laurel, liquorice, pepper and eucalyptus.
