Why I suggest Primitivo di Manduria DOC Triusco 2018
This Primitivo wine comes from Primitivo di Manduria and Primitivo di Gioia del Colle. Harvested in mid-August from sapling and espalier vineyards on land bordering the Adriatic and Gioia del Colle at about 350 meters above sea level The two wines stand in cement tanks and then pass into barrels for aging. Jovial wine with a marked longevity and a beautiful access color. It is a wine to be tasted to grasp the evolution of the fruit that is felt full.
We drank it for you to accompany a particularly tasty dish, cardoncelle vegetable soup and lamb.
The Sommelier: In the glass immediately a lot of stuff in this Apulian wine based on Primitivo: Body and structure always crystalline, intense and deep amaranth color and violet nail, colors the glass and shows the powerful consistency with slow and wide bows. On olfactory examination the impact of the small fruit: blackberry, blackcurrant, dry black sour cherry. A hint of jam and mild spice of toasted almond and vanilla. On the dry palate so much tannin is still a little astringent, a little rough; robust body wine, quite soft.
Recommended pairings: Cardoncelli mushrooms and baked potatoes; vegetable omelettes; fried snails; vegetable soup Cardoncelle and lamb, semi-hard and seasoned cheeses with various cold cuts; Vegetables and vegetables in EVO oil; dried fruit.
Uncork and serve at a temperature between 16 - 18 ° C, in Ballon goblet.
Cellar: Rivera Winery ... long centuries have passed and lists of selection of varietal clones, have led to the affirmation of the great Apulian oenological potential with black grapes: Nero di Troia ... go to the card.
