Rivera

Cantina Rivera is one of the most important solid realities in the Puglia region. From the beginning of the twentieth century, a period in which the De Corato family, whose origins as farmers, are the progenitor of the Tenuta Rivera, have dedicated years of intense work, to give new life to and enhance the area with the cultivation of vineyards, olive trees and cereals of the estate.

Located on the slopes of the Murge towards the Adriatic where the nature of the terrain and the climate make it an area with a wine-growing vocation. Great wines, extra virgin olive oils with intense aromas combined with wheat and vegetables, have become the merit of Made in Puglia Mediterranean cuisine.

Products of Puglia that over the years have returned to the production regulations Castel del Monte. The Controlled Denomination of Origin which involved the wine of the Tenuta Rivera in its entirety. The Murgia Barese, where the Monte del Castello is built by the Emperor Frederick II of Swabia at the beginning of the 13th century and now a UNESCO heritage site, is interesting. Lush expanses of cultivated land, where the vine gives birth to its fruits from the times of the Magna Graecia.

Long centuries have passed and lists of selection of varietal clones have led to the affirmation of the great Apulian oenological potential with black grapes: Nero di Troia, in addition to Montepulciano, Aglianico, black and white Bombino and Pampanuto. Big bottles and elegant labels always at levels of excellence; we report some more recognizable ones: Puer Apuliae Nero di Troia Riserva D.O.C.G., Cappellaccio Aglianico D.O.C. Reserve, Il Falcone, Lama dei Corvi D.O.C., Triusco Primitivo di Manduria DOC, Scariazzo, Preludio N ° 1, Terre al Monte, Nero di Troia Violante, Bombino Bianco Marese, Piani di Tufara Moscato di Trani D.O.C.
